The Project

The construction of a reinforced concrete skate park.

Works included 0.5ha general site clearance, including the removal of shrubs and trees, 2500m3 excavation carried out to agreed depths, setting out, forming and shaping earthworks prior to installation of concrete kidney bowls and land drainage with associated catch-pits, gulleys and manholes, drainage was also provided within the kidney bowls to avoid flooding.

250m2 of bitumen macadam vehicular access road was constructed to provide access for future maintenance of the site together with 200m of concrete edgings and macadam footpaths constructed around the site.

975m2 of reinforced concrete skatepark was constructed including ¼ & ½ pipes, a kidney bowl, a keyhole bowl, steps, various square and round grind rails were fitted.

Four 8m high column/floodlights were also erected, together with associated cabling and sectional metal perimeter fencing with bow top detail around the site.
