CHC awarded Green Card for Safe Working

12 May 2017

Cheetham Hill Construction has been awarded a Green Card for Safe Working on the Lidl Distribution Centre Project in Avonmouth.

The Green Card recognises CHC’s encouraging and constructive performance and attitude towards health and safety on site.

The Company is currently working as a subcontractor for TSL Projects, undertaking the ground improvement and remediation package. The new Lidl centre will span 51,000m2, with a total of 60,000m3 soils to be treated and over 25,000m3 imported stone to finish.

TSL noted that from the moment CHC commenced work, both management and operators have rigorously adhered to all safety procedures and have also suggested improvements for certain aspects on site, which has contributed to ensuring the best possible standards are set. They have also been delighted with the level of respect shown by our site operatives and the successful working relationships being built on site.

The £2.5million package will run for circa. 10 weeks with an expected completion date in early July.
