Old Swan HWRC Project wins CECA Innovation & Sustainability Award

Cheetham Hill Construction was a winner at the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) North West Awards 2016.

The Old Swan Household Waste Recycling Centre Project received the Innovation & Sustainability Award at the awards ceremony, held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.

CHC acted as Principal Contractor on the design & construct project for client Merseyside Recycling & Waste Authority. The new HWRC provides improved recycling facilities for the residents of Liverpool.

Chairman of CECA NW, Adrian Taylor and Roger Johnson of BBC North West Tonight presented the award to Mike Goodier, Contracts Manager at CHC.

Guy Lawson, Director of CECA NW commented “My congratulations go to all the very worthy award winners. I am delighted that the winners comprise a good mixture of major contractors and SMEs, as this underlines the North West’s capacity to deliver projects of any scale, as workloads continue to increase.”
